Dimension
Clear statement. From every perspective.
From the widened single frame, to the side air intakes with sporty chrome trims, to the narrow headlights – the progressive nature A6 Saloon’s front gives a great impression at first sight. The sharpened shoulder line with strong curves above the wheel arches accentuates the quattro inheritance. The exterior mirrors have a sporty location by the armrest. Moreover, the coupé-like flowing roofline elegantly leads into the rear end, formed in three dimensions with a characteristic aluminium style.

The optional HD Matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicator light impress from two different perspectives. They provide the driver with optimum road lighting without dazzling oncoming traffic, and maximise the A6 Saloon’s effective beam width thanks to the outward focus of the characteristic lighting segments.
Dynamic indicator light
Far more than just an optical gimmick: the dynamic indicator light evenly directs the signal light from the inside to the outside, which clearly communicates the turn direction to surrounding traffic. Its longer duration and eyecatching brightness means other road users receive the signal instantly and reliably – an important contribution to safety.
HD Matrix LED Headlight
The HD Matrix LED headlights, available on request, strip the darkness from the night and provide daylight-like, precise illumination of the road in both dipped and high beam. Thanks to innovative technologies, both oncoming and preceding vehicles are not dazzled and traffic signs are not over-illuminated, while important areas still remain fully lit up.
Mood enhancer
The optional contour ambient light package creates a unique atmosphere and gives the interior of the A6 Saloon a fascinating ambience, characterised by a sense of well-being. Precise contour light guides accentuate the instrument panel, central console and other striking design structures in 30 different colour tones with continuous dimming.
Space for more
The interior of the new Audi A6 Sedan has been designed more spaciously than its predecessor. Its increased passenger compartment length provides for more legroom, especially for passengers in the rear. In addition, head and shoulder room at the front and rear have been improved. The luggage compartment offers more loading width with the same volume of 530 litres, and the well-developed aerodynamics of the Audi A6 Sedan provide a pleasantly quiet interior even at high speeds.

Reduced design. Maximum ease of operation.
The high-resolution 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch HD MMI High touch displays with touch response, available on request, fit seamlessly into the elegant instrument panel and are optimally tailored to the needs of the driver. On the upper display, the driver manages information, entetainment and navigation services; on the lower display, text input, air conditioning and various comfort functions can be controlled.
Up to 400 customisable functions.
The MMI touch response system sets standards for intuitive operation and personalisation. Up to seven drivers can store their preferred settings in individual user profiles to define up to 400 functions. The system allows quick access to vehicle functions thanks to its logical, flat menu structure. Configurable shortcuts allow users’ preferences – similar to smartphones – to be dragged and dropped to the desired position on the MMI screen.
MMI touch response technology
MMI® navigation plus
Fully networked, innovative and intuitive: The optionally available MMI Navigation plus has an intelligent self-learning function based on driven routes and gives search suggestions based on it. Guidance takes place online via the service provider HERE and observes the traffic conditions of the entire region. If the data connection is not sufficient, the navigation changes to the parallel onboard guidance system. Six free updates are available as standard for the navigation maps, which are released every six months.
Natural-voice interaction
Hardly anything is more intuitive than language. The Audi A6 Sedan can now also be operated with it. This is made possible by the optionally available natural-voice interaction, an intelligent operating concept that understands you without being limited to predefined commands. Whether it’s navigation data, radio stations or the text of a message – you say it, the vehicle does it.
Audi phone box
Insert and get started: As soon as your smartphone is in the optionally available Audi phone box and has been connected to the car via Bluetooth, it is automatically detected and can be operated quickly and easily via MMI, the multifunction steering wheel or voice. The interconnection between the storage compartment and vehicle antenna also provides better voice and reception quality. And if your smartphone supports the Qi standard, it can be charged in the Audi phone box – without any wires.

Performer
For its European brand launch, the A6 Saloon starts with two powerful engines – a diesel and a petrol engine. The petrol engine is a 3.0 TFSI1. With 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque, the six-cylinder engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. Similar performance is offered by the 3.0 TDI2 V6 diesel engine with 286 hp and 620 Nm torque. All engines are equipped with the new mild hybrid technology.
Mild hybrid technology
All engines in the new A6 Sedan are equipped with Audi’s new mild hybrid technology, which can reduce fuel consumption in real driving conditions by up to 0.7 litres per 100 kilometres. In doing so, a belt starter generator cooperates with a lithium-ion battery and thus generates additional energy, which leads to improved acceleration, greater efficiency and increased driving comfort. The technology is offered in two variants: The four-cylinder engines use a 12-volt power supply, the six-cylinder engines use a 48-volt power supply, which serves as the main power supply.
The 3.0 TDI V6 diesel engine complies with the Euro 6 standard and works with an eight-speed Tiptronic, while the 3.0 TFSI is coupled to a seven-speed S Tronic. Both engines are equipped as standard with quattro all-wheel drive, each designed with a different centre of gravity. In combination with the Tiptronic, it has the self-locking centre differential, while the S Tronic has the even more efficient ultra-technology, which engages the rear-wheel-drive extremely quickly whenever it is needed. Gear selection is exclusively automatic for all cars – for increased efficiency and a comfortable driving experience.

The standard progressive steering system ensures powerful driving dynamics through an emphatically sporty transmission, which, especially in combination with the optional dynamic all-wheel steering system, increases agility and manoeuvrability. The optionally available 21″ wheels underline the athleticism and at the same time offer improved noise comfort.
